Atelier Papillon Bakelite
Artisan Bakelite by Kent Munday
Kent has been working with Bakelite since 2000. At first his work was unsigned, then an etched butterfly logo with date was used. Now he uses 3 pure silver pins usually along the rim of a bangle, 2 denote Atelier Papillon (or as is more commonly known in the U.S.) Butterfly Workshop.  The third pin denotes the year of production.

Kent is known for his well conceived designs, thoughtful use of color combinations at both the conception of a design and what it will become eventually with oxidation. He strives for perfection and it shows, something only natural talent and experience delivers. Kent is a master bakelite artisan.

Be sure to check the wrist size on available bangles, they can vary from maiden size to the average 2 1/2" and up to 2 5/8" or larger.  On larger or heavier bangles, he does a "comfort" rounded edge on the inside of the bangle.  Bangles glide on easier and it helps distribute the weight over a greater area.

Check out his portfolio on Instagram under Atelier Papillon to view his work and send him a message if you have a custom design you'd like to discuss.
